Reasons for Hair fall/ Hair loss / Baldness:-

Physical Stress

Due to heavy workflow, late time shifts or busy schedules, our body feels restless, less energy and enthusiasm. This kind of pressurize life will affect our health as we start skipping meals that eventually decrease the count of vitamins & proteins. This could be a reason for hair loss or hair fall.

Lack of Proteins

We take healthy proteins and vitamins from fruits and vegetables which are helpful for our body growth and prevent an ideal body health. If we skip our meals, especially breakfast it will automatically affect our inner growth and outer body parts.

Heredity

The most common cause of hair loss is heredity that called hair pattern baldness or female pattern baldness. It usually occurs gradually with aging and in predictable patterns — a receding hairline and bald spots in men and thinning hair in women.

Hormonal unbalance

A variety of conditions can cause permanent or temporary hair loss, including hormonal changes due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause and thyroid problems.

DHT (dihydrotestosterone)

DHT is a hormone which is converted from excess testosterone in the body by an enzyme called 5-alpha reeducates. DHT binds with your hair follicles, resulting in hair miniaturization, dormant hair follicles, and hair fall. Male pattern hair loss is the most common type of hair loss in men. Hair at the temples and on the crown slowly thin and eventually disappears. The exact reason why this happens is unknown, but genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors are all thought to play a role. DHT is believed to be a major factor.

Medications and supplements

Hair loss can be a side effect of certain drugs, such as those used for cancer, arthritis, depression, heart problems, gout and high blood pressure.

Certain hairstyles and treatments

Excessive hairstyling or hairstyles that pull your hair tight, such as pigtails or cornrows, can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia. Hot oil hair treatments and permanents can cause inflammation of hair follicles that leads to hair loss. If scarring occurs, hair loss could be permanent.

Stressful lifestyle

Many people experience a general thinning of hair several months after a physical or emotional shock. This type of hair loss is temporary.

Preventions:-

Most baldness is caused by genetics (male-pattern baldness and female-pattern baldness). This type of hair loss is not preventable.

These tips may help you avoid preventable types of hair loss:

  • Avoid tight hairstyles, such as braids, buns or ponytails.
  • Avoid compulsively twisting, rubbing or pulling your hair.
  • Treat your hair gently when washing and brushing. A wide-toothed comb may help prevent pulling out hair.
  • Avoid harsh treatments such as hot rollers, curling irons, hot oil treatments and permanents.
  • Avoid medications and supplements that could cause hair loss.
  • Protect your hair from sunlight and other sources of ultraviolet light.
  • Stop smoking. Some studies show an association between smoking and baldness in men.
  • If you are being treated with chemotherapy, ask your doctor about a cooling cap. This cap can reduce your risk of losing hair during chemotherapy.
